Ambassador Team Meeting (January 28, 2026)
Event Overview
Ward I’s Model City Ambassadors gathered for strategic planning, progress updates, and deeper exploration of how to live Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech in daily life.
Event Details
- Date: January 28, 2026
- Location: Wayman & Bessie Brady Recreation Center, College Park
- Attendees: Ward I Model City Ambassadors
- Purpose: Team development, strategy refinement, commitment deepening
What Happened
Three months after the inaugural Love Feast and six weeks after Ambassador certification, the team regathered to strengthen their collective work.
This was not a general community event. This was a meeting of committed Ambassadors ready to take the next steps in spreading the Model City Initiative throughout Ward I.
The Central Question
“Has anyone ever told you HOW to live out what Dr. King stated in his ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, and why that is important?”
This question reframes Dr. King’s legacy from inspiration to instruction. Most people know the dream. Few know the method.
The Answer Provided
Yes. Through Humaculture. Through Love and Reverence. Through daily practice.
The Model City Initiative provides the framework Dr. King’s speech implied but didn’t fully articulate: HOW to judge by content of character. HOW to transcend racial constructs. HOW to build the Beloved Community in real neighborhoods with real people.
Ambassador Activities
- Progress Review: Updates on Model City Initiative advancement
- Strategy Refinement: Approaches for engaging more Ward I residents
- Skill Development: Practical training for Ambassador role
- Relationship Building: Strengthening team bonds and unity
- Commitment Renewal: Reaffirming dedication to Love and Reverence principles
Why This Meeting Mattered
Movements don’t sustain themselves through single events. They require ongoing gatherings where committed participants strengthen resolve, refine approach, and support each other.
The January 28 meeting demonstrated Ward I’s Ambassadors are not volunteers for a program. They are leaders of a movement. They meet regularly. They strategize continuously. They support each other persistently.
Impact
- Strengthened Ambassador team cohesion
- Refined strategies for ward-wide engagement
- Deepened understanding of practical application
- Built momentum for February meeting
- Demonstrated sustained commitment beyond initial events
Connection to Mission
The Ambassador Team Meeting showed that the Model City Initiative creates lasting infrastructure, not just temporary programming. Ward I now has a team that meets regularly, strategizes continuously, and spreads Love and Reverence throughout the ward. This is how transformation becomes permanent.
